‘It’s Winter, Winter in my world.
All my leaves have fallen off, throughout the Autumn in my world.
One by one, I feel like I have lost the parts of myself that were robust and full of life in the Summer of my world.
Right now my world is bare.
I feel exposed, and the passing thought of, ‘Will it ever bloom into Spring in my world again?’
All I know is that as predictably as Autumn follows Summer, and Winter follows Autumn, so too, will Spring once again grace my world, – in freshness, joyful serenity, and the birth of new hope and possibilities. My world will blossom with beauty once again.
This Winter will be behind me until the next one arrives again to teach me the new lessons needed to expand my capacity for an even more expansive Summer.
Winter is also a gift, – its bereft coldness, its emptiness, – yet the depth it brings means deeper wisdom, stronger roots, and more appreciation for what Spring shall bestow.”
